Primary Hard Drive Corruption in Windows
All PCs running on Windows operating system supports the usage of multiple hard drives on a single PC. Many of us do make use of multiple hard drives either in the form of internal hard drives or as an external hard drive. The secondary hard drive once connected, can be accessed like the primary hard drive with ease.
Though the secondary hard drive is helpful in taking backup of primary hard drive data and for storing large files, it can sometimes turn out to be a bane, when it results in loss of data. Loss of data usually occurs when we connect the secondary hard drive to the PC. When we connect the secondary hard drive to the PC, it sometimes fails to recognize the primary hard drive.
This can be seen when the BIOS of the PC does not display the primary hard drive, which might lead to loss of partition, causing data loss in the primary hard drive. One way of trying to recover partition is by detaching the secondary hard drive, and connecting the primary hard drive to another healthy PC. You can check if the data is accessible from the healthy PC.
If the above method does not yield the expected results, the first and the best thing to do, is to download a good partition recovery software, and recover all the lost data using the recovery software. REMO Recover (Windows) Pro Edition software lets you recover lost data from NTFS and FAT partitions. This Read-Only software makes sure that it recovers all your lost data completely without damaging the unaffected partitions in your hard drive.
